Gravesham Borough Council have proposed a draft 'Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) with the aim of reducing anti-social and dangerous behaviour involving vehicles in public spaces across the borough. It’s a legal tool that allows the council and police to step in when certain behaviours in public places repeatedly cause nuisance, fear, or danger.
Before making a decision, the council must hear from the community. This consultation is a chance for parents, residents, and local groups to:
- Say whether these problems affect them
- Share concerns or support for the proposals
- Point out anything that feels unclear, unfair, or could have unintended effects
This proposal is about protecting shared spaces — so children can play, families can walk, and everyone can feel safer and more comfortable in and around Gravesham.
