What is Safer Streets Gravesham?

Let's start with who we are...

Safer Streets Gravesham is a community-led advocacy group working to make Gravesham’s streets safer and more enjoyable for everyone - whether you walk, wheel, cycle, or drive.
The aim of Safer Streets is to give people an actual choice about how they travel, and to ensure our streets work for everyone, but especially children, older residents, and those with mobility challenges.
We want to create a space to share ideas, resources, and advice on how to engage with local councils about improving street design, introducing cycle lanes, and supporting “School Streets” initiatives.
  • Imagine a Gravesham where our children can walk and cycle safely to school.
  • Imagine a Gravesham where there was less traffic, less air pollution and less noise pollution.
  • Imagine a Gravesham where the default option is not to drive.
Together, we want to build a cleaner, safer, and more connected Gravesham, one street at a time

  1. Great iniviative. We live on Windmill Street and there's a massive need for traffic calming/reduction in speed limit
